Understanding the current user flow of our apps helps me in the re-design process. After I map out the current architecture of the app I start to review our research and user data to get a better understanding of where users get lost, what they like, and what they are not using.
Task Analysis and Persona
Task Analysis - User testing helps uncover tasks in our current apps that should be modified to better serve the end user. Looking at the steps within the task and understanding users frustrations and joy, aid in re-designing the experience.
Data Driven Personas - The military community consists of a variety of users, from active duty, spouses, children and veterans. Because of this variety I create data driven personas so that our project teams and psychologist have a better understanding of our specific user group.
